Relocation concept for Josephinum
Vienna 2018
Client: Josephinum – Sammlungen der Medizinischen Universität Wien
The Josephinum was founded by Emperor Joseph II as a medical-surgical military academy in the 18th century. Today, the Josephinum houses the world-famous wax model collection consisting of approximately 1,200 specimens, as well as numerous other collections of the Medical University of Vienna. In 2018, we worked on a relocation concept for the Josephinum’s collections. A smooth relocation of any collection requires thorough planning and preparation. For our clients facing similar challenges, we can conduct an inventory and cataloging as a preparatory phase part of each relocation project, establish a storage plan for the future location as well as take over the entire project management, if needed.
