A comprehensive retrospective of the Czech artist took place in Vienna in 2009. The artist, known primarily for his posters and book illustrations, was shown in a new light at this exhibition. The highlights of the exhibition included the reconstruction of the pavilion of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the World Exhibition in Paris, as well as the presentation of two monumental paintings from the cycle “Slavic Epic”.
