In the 2009 exhibition season, the Weltmuseum Wien (back then known as the Museum für Völkerkunde) focused on the life of the self-proclaimed “last native american”. Sitting Bull, a freedom fighter who was a rather controversial figure even among his own people, is among the most frequently portrayed “Indians.” Through his life story, this show conveyed 19th century American Indian politics. Our tasks at this project included display case construction and object mounting.
