“African Lace” is the name given to the colorful, industrially embroidered fabrics that have shaped the public appearance of Nigerians worldwide for over fifty years and have become a fixed component of Nigerian festive clothing and fashion. The exhibition focused on its historical background, illuminating a fascinating chapter in the history of African fashion. Textiles are delicate objects that require special handling and care.
