Joseph Maria Olbrich. Art Nouveau and the Vienna Secession

Vienna 2010

Client: Leopold Museum

The most comprehensive exhibition to date on the work of the artist and architect Joseph Maria Olbrich was created in collaboration between the Institut Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt, the Leopold Museum Vienna and the Kunstbibliothek – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. Around 300 exhibits of his work were presented in the aesthetic context of Viennese Modernism. The loans from public and private collections in Germany, Austria, and the United States included pieces of furniture, textiles, drawings, and watercolors. When several international lenders are involved in an exhibition project, many challenges arise for the organizer in handling and documenting the loan process. We take over the loan coordination for our client and ensure that the exhibition objects reach the venue safely and on time.
